Artist Nicholas Tay | Tay's mixed media art work revolves around the theme of contemporary immigrant identity. In his current series, Amateur Cartography, identity and the clash of cultures is explored through a visual dialogue between representation and abstraction. Releasing a couple of new pieces for The Question of Heaven series. One of the things I love about the original poem, that was expertly handled in David Hinton's translation, is the duality of wonder and irony present in how the questions were poised.

These pieces are two more of my personal takes on the written questions, and their visual manifestation.
